Sisters, Oregon is surrounded by the Deschutes National Forest and close to the Ochoco National Forest, the Crooked River National Grassland, Mount Jefferson, Three Sisters and Mount Washington National Wilderness areas, and numerous famous fisheries.  The great outdoors is overflowing in Sisters!

If you enjoy hiking or rock climbing, test your skills at Mount Jefferson (the most difficult climb of Oregon’s high peaks), Smith Rock State Park, or parts of the Pacific Crest Trail.  Mountain bikers will find single-track paths in serene alpine settings all around the area.  Fisherman can cast away for rainbow, brown and brook trout and Atlantic salmon on the first-rate Metolious and Deschutes rivers.  Downhill skiers and snowboarders can carve out turns at the Hoodoo Ski Resort, just 30 minutes away from town.

For the competitive spirits (participants and spectators alike), there are a number of athletic competitions held in Sisters.  You don’t want to miss the annual Sisters Rodeo in June or the Atta Boy 300 Sled Dog Race that takes place every winter.

Around the town of Sisters, there are numerous art galleries, antique shops, bakeries and local dining establishments.  Be sure to look for local artists’ sculptures, paintings and photographs while strolling through the downtown shops. Feeling a bit tired from all the outdoor activities and area shopping? Treat yourself to a session at one of the full service health clubs or day spas.

Indoors or out, Sisters has activities that all can enjoy.  For more information, please check out the links below.
