LA PINE OREGON REAL ESTATE
A rural community located in southern Central Oregon, La Pine
is situated on the banks of the Deschutes River and the
Deschutes National Forest. The Newberry Volcanic National
Park and Paulina Peak (home to East Lake and Paulina Lake) are
also close by to La Pine. La Pine is the largest area in
Central Oregon to never have been incorporated, so its only
governmental body is that of Deschutes county.
In recent years, La Pine has experienced huge developments to
their community, including new commercial and retail businesses,
an elementary school and a multi-million dollar senior/ assisted
living facility. In addition, expanding municipal
services, such as water and sewer, have allowed room for more
growth industrially. The new La Pine Industrial Park, with
close access to both railroads and highways, is a fully serviced
park offering buyers lots from 1/4 acre to 40+ acres at very
reasonable prices.
Residents of La Pine enjoy the lowest housing costs in
Central Oregon, with the largest lots available. Plus,
most areas in La Pine are wooded, which gives residents a
private and secluded atmosphere. Big city amenities are
available to all La Pine residents, as Bend is only a 30 minute
drive away. Since being in close proximity to Bend, La
Pine shares its school system with the city. The Bend / La
Pine school district boasts some of the highest SAT scores in
the area, surpassing the national and statewide averages every
year.
Industrial growth, community developments and private living
make La Pine a great area to settle down with family. As
