Sometimes there just aren't too many reasons to get up and out of your bed in your Bend, Oregon house or condo. Sure, you have a job that deals with strapping equipment for the brick industry but who wants to leave their cozy and warm bed to go to work? Especially if it's for a job you don't really like all that much.

It's almost like you have to force yourself to get out of bed, shower, dress, have breakfast and then drive to your printing Toronto or Bend job. You probably never dreamt of working at a job you didn't like when you were a kid. Who dreams about being a manager of an eyeglass repair shop or working with biosolids applications every day? Not too many people.

If you're the type of person who doesn't have that much motivation to go to work everyday then you need to find it. Find something about your job that you love. Or make some goals that you can strive to achieve. Perhaps it could be the want for a promotion? Who doesn't want to be rewarded for doing a good job at work? Doesn't matter if you work for a Bend retail clothing store or a Newark airport car service company, getting a promotion means you're a valued member of the company.

How to impress your boss, though? That's a question a lot of people face when trying to determine the best route to get a promotion. They are the person who holds most of the power in determining whether or not you get a promotion at your commercial mortgage company and, ultimately a raise.

There are a lot of things you can do to impress your boss. The first thing is to make sure you are never late to work. If you've been late to work recently, stop it. Make an effort to be there on time. Punctuality will go a long way in impressing your boss. Always offer your services on group projects that need volunteers. Going above and beyond your duties shows to your boss how serious you are about your job. Never talk back in a rude manner when receiving criticism. Be courteous of what your fellow employees or boss is saying about your work and make an effort to improve the areas that need improvement. If you follow those simple steps, you are surely to impress your boss and there is no way they won't give you a promotion. Good luck!
